This is a curious photo, in its way almost surreal, because looking at it one way the dog and the ship could be parts of two separate photos, they are such different subject matter; or the dog could be pining at the departure of his owner/master on the ship. And the lights showing from the ship definitely add to the shot’s enigmas.
